What is JES?The Justice Education Society (JES) is a non-profit organization that empowers people to access and deliver justice in Canada and globally.
At the start of the project, the main challenge was to translate complex and sensitive information into a format that newcomers could easily understand and engage with, regardless of language barriers or unfamiliarity with Canadian workplace rights. The goal was not only to inform, but to ensure the message felt accessible, clear, and supportive.
From the beginning, we focused on helping the organization strengthen its communication by developing a cohesive visual approach that could effectively reach newcomers.
We were mindful to respect the visual direction they had already established, while thoughtfully expanding it to improve clarity and engagement. As part of this effort, we created a range of printed and digital collateral, including a brochure, poster, magazine ad, billboard, and social media ad, all centered around the topic of Workplace Sexual Harassment. These materials outline both the issue and the services JES provides as support and guidance for new immigrants.
The final pieces tell a story of individuals facing difficult situations, designed to be clear, approachable, and engaging, encouraging audiences to connect with the message and seek further information. The client was very happy with the result.
